Cold saponified soap. My SNÖ Bioflowers cleansing treatment is a true luxury from ancestral artisanal methods. It is a cold saponified soap, which is 100% plant-based. All the ingredients come from Organic Farming *. In making the soap, it is first dried for a period of 8 weeks through a rare and artisanal production process.
This 100% natural facial cleanser is also a natural moisturizing treatment. This soap is 8% superfat and draws its benefits from the exceptional ingredients: Macadamia *, Olive * vegetable oil, Mauve des Bauges extract, Pink clay, Shea butter * and Coconut oil *. Coconut oil is used to obtain the soap foam. All the ingredients are rich in Omega 9 and palmitoleic acid. These active ingredients are very nourishing, soothing, protective and softening. This soap helps to promote a clear and supple skin by restoring softness and elasticity to the skin.
Without synthetic perfume or coloring, it is particularly suitable for fragile and delicate skin.
An economical return to the source – the soap is equivalent to 500 ml of liquid soap and 100% biodegradable.
Handcrafted “SAF” (saponifié à froid – cold saponification) by our master soap maker L’Essentiel – Cléry, holder of the Nature & Progrès label.
This cold saponified soap gently cleanses your skin by providing it with natural hydration.
It can be used once or twice a day for cleansing and removing makeup from the face. For make-up removal, start with a dab of Miraculous Balm to dissolve the make-up then rinse with the foam of this soap using a damp cotton pad. Massage your face with the foamy cotton and rinse with lukewarm water.
Finally, gently pat your skin dry with a clean, dry towel. Precaution: in case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
The cold saponified soap is extra gentle and suitable for all skin types as well as the whole family. It is also good for washing the body without drying it out. It can be used for both sensitive and delicate skin. Additionally, the soap can be used for babies and children.
– for pregnant women, infants, people with allergies
Because the soap is rinsed off directly and it only contains very low concentrations of Lavender essential oil, the soap can be used during pregnancy and for children.
– for dry skin prone to atopy: supplement it with Mon Baume Miraculeux
– for oily skin with imperfections, acne, excess sebum: it will leave your skin clean.
A cold saponified artisanal soap keeps its natural vegetable glycerin, contrary to most soaps out there.
This artisanal method requires expertise and precious molding. The drying time of the soap is more than 8 weeks, even though it solidifies in 3 minutes.
Within the industry it is not possible to manufacture the soap in large quantities. The process is too quick for the soap to be poured into the molds. So, manufacturers have added water to slow down the solidification. This process can last up to 1 week instead of 3 minutes.
The water added during hot production (like that of the famous Marseille soap) has the property of creating Glycerin, a product of the second saponification stage. Glycerin is more profitable as it is sold for up to 50 times more expensive than soap. Soap in fact, is a by-product of the manufacture of Glycerin.
Soap, without its natural glycerin, is more aggressive to the skin. Unfortunately, containers of soap, without glycerin, arrive from Asia in little flakes and are directly put into molds in France.
So, as these soaps without their natural glycerin are too detergent, companies now manufacture “soap-free soaps”, which are made from petrochemicals, also called “Syndets”. They have a neutral pH7, but are filled with chemical ingredients and are harmful to the skin and the body.
In truth, you can only really make a real soap in a traditional way. Since the process is so specific, we do not know how to manufacture it industrially. To ensure that your soap is of premium quality, we have it produced using ancestral “artisanal” and “cold saponified” methods. Perhaps you have already used soaps that have left you feeling tight and uncomfortable. If that is your case, then this is your chance to try cold saponified soap and feel the difference!
